User guide

This guide is for every member of a company in Tinfirm: you talk to agents, answer what they ask, and connect the accounts they act with. If you set the company up, read the Admin guide as well.

Find your way around

Tinfirm opens on your Inbox. The sidebar's Work section holds the pages every member uses:

Page What it is for
Inbox What needs you comes first: questions, approvals and accounts to connect. Then the turns that stopped, and notices.
Conversations Your conversations with agents. What needs you comes first, then the newest activity. Start one with New conversation.
Agents The specialists you talk to. Open one to see what it does, or to change My settings for it. Any member can make a new agent.
Skills The company's library of know-how that agents read when a task fits.
Triggers Standing rules that start an agent when something happens on a system, or on a schedule. You see the triggers you wrote and those whose team you are in.
Accounts Who you act as and who pays: your accounts on the company's systems, your budget and your runner hosts.

Your Profile belongs to you rather than to a company. It holds your sign-in, the AI clients you have connected (Connected apps) and your Personal access tokens.

If you are a member of more than one company, each has its own inbox, conversations and accounts.

What happens when you talk to an agent

  1. You start a conversation and say what you need.
  2. The agent works on it in a sandbox, with your accounts on the systems it uses, paid from your budget.
  3. When it needs something from you, it stops and asks: a question to answer, an approval to give, or an account to connect. The request is in your inbox and in the conversation.
  4. When the turn ends, its result is in the conversation. You can reply, and the agent goes on in the same conversation.

The conversation keeps the accounts it started with until it ends. Concepts explains why.
